## Core Technology

Epia Neuro's product is an integrated brain sensing and stimulation system comprising three components:

- **Brain Interface**: A proprietary implantable device that captures high-fidelity neural signals epidurally (without piercing the dura). Implantable in under an hour via outpatient procedure. Fully discreet, externally invisible, and rechargeable via non-invasive headset.
- **Decoder System**: Proprietary algorithms that interpret neural signals and convert them into precise digital commands in real time. The system learns continuously, refining accuracy and building a longitudinal map of each patient's neural activity.
- **Wearable Functional Execution Device**: A lightweight upper-limb grip-assist motor prosthetic designed with stroke survivors, advocates, and clinicians. Built for daily life, restoring the ability to grasp, release, and perform essential tasks independently.

Unlike conventional read-only neural interfaces, the Epia Neuro platform supports both sensing and stimulation at the cortex and deep in the brain.

## Clinical Focus

**Primary indication**: Stroke-related motor impairment. Stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability, with approximately 800,000 cases per year in the United States. Many survivors are left unable to grip, release, or perform everyday tasks, with recovery typically plateauing within six months.

**Pipeline indications**: Cognitive decline and mild cognitive impairment, Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and epilepsy.
